It is with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of my publisher, Booktrope. My time with Booktrope Publishing has been a powerful journey of learning and growth. I loved their “hybrid” model from the very beginning. A model where author, editor, proofreader, book manager became a creative team, working together to breathe life into a story. I’m sad the model wasn’t a profitable endeavor for the founders of Booktrope, but I am forever grateful to have been a part of it while it lasted. I wish everyone associated with Booktrope Publishing the best of luck as they move forward. A special thank you to Rachel Thompson for believing in my story and to my dedicated team, Melissa, Justin, Wendy and Zee who helped me revise, edit, publish and promote my book. Being part of the Gravity Imprint of Booktrope Publishing has been one of the best and brightest parts of my life. I know the relationships I’ve formed with these talented humans, will continue to thrive.
The Gold Mailbox, published through Booktrope will only be available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble through the end of May.
Now, onto happier news…
I am in the process of signing with a new local publisher. Having my book re-released will give me an opportunity to work with a new set of talented folks.
Exciting conversations have already begun about some possible new additions, including an interview with the author and questions and topics for discussion.
Please stay tuned for additional updates on the “re-release” of The Gold Mailbox.
And finally, a whole-hearted THANK YOU to my readers. The letters I’ve received regarding how you’ve connected with my story and how it’s impacted your life are absolutely the best part of all this. I love talking to readers about how I came to write my story and what a cathartic process it’s been. We all have stories and I encourage you to share yours. Our stories shape who we are and what we become. By owning your story, you can take charge of it and choose how it impacts your life and your relationships.
With much love and gratitude,
Beth Schulman
